Chickpeas Curry Easy Recipe

This Delicious Curry is 1 Pot, creamy, freezer-friendly, and flexible to flavor preference. It is packed with flavors and requires easy ingredients, with most of them likely already in your pantry. This is one of the quickest and easiest ways to prepare this delicious recipe.



Ingredients

Oil - 1 Tablespoon

Onion - 1 Large

Garlic - 8

Ginger - 1 Inch

Tomatoes - 2 medium

Chili - 1


Oil - 1 Tablespoon

Cumin Seeds - Half teaspoon

Turmeric Powder - 1/4th teaspoon

Red Chili Powder - Half teaspoon

Chana Masala - 1 teaspoon

Blended paste

Boiled Chickpeas - 750 g

Salt - 1 & half teaspoon

Garam Masala - Half teaspoon

Coriander Leaves

Lime Juice

Water as needed








Steps

  1. Heat a pan, add oil and roughly chopped onion & cook till they are slightly translucent, up to 4-5 minutes, over medium-high heat.

  2. Add ginger, garlic & chili and cook for 2 mins over low heat

  3. Add sliced tomatoes followed by salt & cook till everything is soft. Let it cool down, and then blend it with some water.

  4. Heat the pan again; add oil, cumin seeds, turmeric, red chili, and Chana masala(you can use equal parts of cumin and coriander powder). Cook over low heat.

  5. Add tomato, onion puree, and salt and cook till the oil starts to separate

  6. Add the boiled chickpeas and let it cook for 2-3 mins; water if needed and let the curry come to a boil

  7. Then add garam masala powder, garnish using fresh coriander leaves & lime juice
