Who doesn’t love a good Tofu recipe? This one hits the right spots. Tofu is first seasoned and then air-fried to make it crispy. The Sauce is so quick to prepare, making this an easy recipe.

Ingredients
Tofu seasoning
Tofu - 400 g
Soy sauce- 1.5 tablespoon
Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
Black pepper - half teaspoon
Red pepper flakes - half teaspoon
Cornstarch - 3 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4th teaspoon
Sauce Base
Tomato sauce - 3 tablespoon
Sriracha - half teaspoon
Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
Maple syrup - half tablespoon
Vinegar - half tablespoon
Oil - 2 teaspoon
Garlic - 4-5 medium cloves
Cornstarch Slurry
Corn starch - 1 teaspoon
Water - 6 tsp or 30 ml
Steps
1) Slice the tofu
2)Season the tofu: add soy sauce, maple syrup, red chili flakes, and black pepper to a bowl. Mix all the ingredients
3)Add the tofu to the bowl and mix, then place the tofu in the fridge to marinate for 1 hour
4)Take a new bowl and add cornstarch, salt and pepper. Mix them well
5)Add the marinated tofu to the cornstarch mix
6)Brush the tray for the instapot of the air-fryer and then add the tofu
7)Cook the tofu at 370 F for 20 mins, flipping it midway
8)Meanwhile, let’s prepare the sauce: add ketchup, sriracha, soy sauce, maple syrup, vinegar in a new bowl
9)Once the tofu is cooked, start the cooking process. Heat a pan and add oil; once the oil is hot, add chopped garlic
10)Add the sauce base and cook till the oil starts to separate
11)Add water to the sauce and reduce the heat. Then add the cornstarch slurry
12)Finally, add the cooked tofu, mix it well with the sauce, and cook for 2-3 minutes then switch off the heat
13)Sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onion green
