If you want to try something new, these Stuffed Naan Bombs will do it for you. They are soft, filling and a perfect recipe for kids. It's the usual naan bread recipe with a delicious and hearty filling.
Ingredients
Activating the Yeast
Lukewarm water - 300 ml
Sugar – 1 tablespoon
Yeast – 1 and half teaspoon
Dough
All-purpose Flour – 565g
Salt – 1 and half teaspoon
Garlic Cloves – 3
Yeast Water
Olive Oil - 2 teaspoon
Stuffing
Oil - 2 teaspoon
Onion - half medium
Garlic - 4
Chili - 1
3 button mushrooms
Tofu - 100 g
Green Peas
Coriander
Salt - 1 n half teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/3rd teaspoon
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Coriander - 1 teaspoon
Red Chili Powder - half teaspoon
Lime Juice - 1 teaspoon
Steps
1) Activating the Yeast : Add sugar to luke warm water, mix till it dissolves. Then add the dry yeast and let it rest & activate for 15 mins
2) Preparing the Dough: Add all purpose flour, salt, garlic cloves, olive oil & activated yeast water. Mix and knead till the dough turns soft.
3)Then add olive oil to a bowl and brush it across evenly, then place the dough in the bowl. Cover it and let it rise for 2 hours( take a deep bowl for this so the dough can rise)
4) Stuffing : Add oil to the pan, followed by onion, garlic, chili, cook for 7 mins then add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and red chili powder. Cook for 2 mins over low heat
5) Then add green peas, mushroom, tofu. Cook for 5-7 mins then add salt and chopped coriander.
6) Once the dough is risen, divide the dough into equal parts, make dough balls
7) Roll out the dough into naan size and add stuffing and fold it tight
8) Heat a pan and once it is hot add the stuffed naan bombs on it as per the space available. After 2 minutes turn them and cook on the other side, flip them as needed and cook till they are entirely cooked
9) Add olive oil and coriander leaves dressing(optional)
10) Alternatively you can bake them over 180 C for 25-30 mins in a preheated oven
