Garlic Bread is a great appetizer which is everyone’s favorite and can be prepared in a jiffy. You can prepare this amazing recipe by using different types of stuffing and pair it with Vegan cheese to bring out the flavors.
Ingredients
Activating the Yeast
Lukewarm water - 300 ml
Sugar – 1 tsp
Yeast – 1 and half tsp
Dough
All-purpose Flour – 565g
Salt – 1 and half tsp
Garlic Cloves – 4
Yeast Water
Olive Oil - 2 tsps
Dressing
Garlic Cloves – 25
Oil – 5 Tbsp
Cilantro
Salt - 1 tsp
Oregano - 1 and half tsp
Red chili - half tsp
Boiled Corn - 150 g
Salt - half tsp
Red Chili - half tsp
Vegan Cheese – 300g
Steps
1) Activating the Yeast : Add sugar to luke warm water and mix till it dissolves. Then add the dry yeast and let it rest & activate for 15 minutes.
2) Preparing the Dough : Add all purpose flour, salt, garlic cloves, olive oil & activated yeast water. Mix and knead till the dough turns soft.
3) Then add olive oil to a bowl and brush it across evenly, place the dough in the bowl. Cover it and let it rise for 2-3 hours
4) Dressing: To a bowl, add grated garlic, finely chopped cilantro, olive oil, oregano, red chili powder, salt & mix well
5) Stuffing: Take boiled corn, add salt, red chili powder & mix well
6) Making the bread: Once the dough is risen, take it out on a flatter surface and divide into equal parts. Roll it out as evenly as possible, not too thin, then add the dressing on it followed by grated Vegan cheese, corn, oregano and red chili flakes
7) Fold the dough half way and seal the edges
8) Add the remaining dressing on top of the bread and bake it for 12 mins over 250 C in a preheated oven
9) Serve it hot
